Today, 2 July, is World UFO Day - a day dedicated to raising awareness for the existence of Unidentified Flying Objects and extraterrestrial life. The day commemorates the supposed UFO crash in the 1947 Roswell UFO Incident.
World UFO Day was first celebrated in 2001 and is also a means of encouraging governments to declassify information about sightings throughout history. "It is believed the US government has knowledge of UFOs which they have obtained from the military," reports Ninemsn.
