Xperia C4 gets Android Marshmallow
Sony makes Android Marshmallow available for more Xperia phones Sony

Sony is rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow firmware for the mid-ranger Xperia C4 and its dual SIM variant C4 Dual. The Marshmallow updates the build version of Xperia C4 to 27.3.A.0.122, and C4 Dual to 27.3.B.0.122.

As earlier announced by Sony, both C4 and C4 Dual, like other Android Marshmallow supported Xperia phones, will get all the new features from Sony, additional functionality and a better user experience along with Android Marshmallow.

The update is live for Xperia C4 models E5303 and E5306 and C4 Dual E5333 and E5343, according to XperiaBlog.

The software update is also expected to become available for the rest two variants E5353 and E5363.

A similar Marshmallow update is also seeding for Xperia C5 Ultra Dual.

Upon the update you should see the firmware build of the phone moved to 29.2.B.0.122, which is currently available for model E5533. But it is expected to available widely for all the other variants over the next week.

Note that the updates are released at different times depending on the operators, markets, regions and country.

You should receive notification when it is available for your Xperia phone. To download and install the update from the notification panel just drag the status bar downwards to open it. Then scroll down and select the system update, and tap Download.

Once the download is complete, open the Notification panel if it is closed then tap Install and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.

Alternatively, you can manually grab the Marshmallow update wirelessly by going to Settings>> About phone>> Software update. You can also connect the Xperia phone to computer via USB cable and install the update using Xperia companion.
