The American music industry's glamorous stars were at their best on the red carpet of the 48th annual Academy of Country Music (ACM) awards, held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Singer Taylor Swift, who was nominated for five awards including Entertainer and Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year (for Red) and Video of the Year, turned heads in a stunning gold Dolce & Gabbana dress. She teamed that with Jimmy Choo shoes, Norman Silverman earrings and a Le Vian ring.

Meanwhile, Faith Hill looked gorgeous in a black Chado Ralph Rucci gown. The 45-year-old star combined that with Christian Dior shoes and accessorised the ensemble with a Roger Vivier clutch, and Marina B, Irene Neuwirth, Emily Faith jewels.

Singer and actress Carrie Underwood, who won American Idol in 2005, stood out from the galaxy of high fashion in a floral Naeem Khan dress. And four-time Grammy nominated singer Jewel opted for a Georges Chakra Couture dress, Brian Atwood shoes and Kimberly McDonald jewellery.

The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco wore a geometric black and nude BCBG dress, Cresta Bledsoe earrings and wore her hair high.

The event, which was hosted by Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan, saw Miranda Lambert take home three awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year (for Over You) and Single Record of the Year (for Over You).

The coveted Entertainer of the Year award went to Luke Bryan.
