Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be in Dubai on 26 December to inaugurate new stores of a jewellery group.
The 40-year-old former Miss World, who has been slowly recovering from her pregnancy-related weightgain, will join her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan, the brand ambassador for the Kalyan Jewellers chain.
Along with the Bachchans, four other Indian celebrities including Kerala's Manju Warrier, Telugu actor Nagarjuna, Tamil actor Prabhu Ganesan and Kannadiga actor Shivraj Kumar will attend the inauguration.
"We are going to open six stores in the UAE on that day and each of these stars will be inaugurated by one of our brand ambassadors," T S Kalyanaraman, chairman and managing director of Kalyan Jewellers, said.
"This is going to be the biggest event of the year. We will create a stage before our store for the public to see these stars ... We are also arranging a huge security force to handle the crowd. There will be adequate man power employed keeping in mind the popularity of the stars," the executive director of the chain added.
Meanwhile, Aishwarya might make a comeback to the films soon, probably alongside her husband Abhishek Bachchan. Last month, the actress told NDTV that filmmaker Farah Khan had approached her for Happy New Year which she refused since she would be paired with Shah Rukh Khan.
"Yes, I was approached for the film but I wasn't working opposite Abhishek in it, and it really wouldn't work out that way, so things didn't fall into place but soon, will be back soon," Aishwarya said.
