Is Jing Boran Married? 'The Early Spring' Star's Viral 'Secret Wedding' Rumours With Liu Wen Explained
Jing Boran was previously in a confirmed relationship with Chinese actress Ni Ni

The Early Spring has taken Netflix and social media by storm, with its leading stars dominating online conversations as viewers become increasingly curious about their lives beyond the hit Chinese drama.
For Jing Boran, that attention has quickly extended to his private life, reviving claims that the actor may already be secretly married to Chinese supermodel Liu Wen.
While the pair have been romantically linked for years and repeatedly spotted together, neither Jing nor Liu has confirmed a marriage, and the viral 'secret wedding' claims remain unverified.
Is Jing Boran Married to Liu Wen?
Speculation that Jing, 37, and Liu, 38, had quietly married began circulating more widely in 2025, when online reports claimed the couple had secretly registered their marriage without holding a public wedding.
The rumours have resurfaced amid Jing's renewed popularity following The Early Spring, in which he stars alongside Sun Qian.
However, there has been no public marriage certificate, wedding announcement or confirmation from either star's representatives. Neither Jing nor Liu has publicly said they are husband and wife.
Their famously private approach to their personal lives has helped keep speculation alive.
Dating Rumours Began Years Ago
Jing and Liu's connection stretches back several years. They worked together on a Chanel Qixi campaign in 2019, although romantic speculation did not intensify until 2022.
That July, the pair were photographed holding hands while out with celebrity friends in Beijing's Sanlitun district. Other sightings, including reports of them riding electric bikes together at night, followed.
Despite never formally announcing a relationship, their continued appearances together led Chinese entertainment media and fans to increasingly regard them as a couple.
Their apparent relationship has remained notably low-key, with neither regularly discussing the other publicly.
Family Visits Fuelled Secret Marriage Speculation
Reports of increasingly serious family connections added another layer to the marriage rumours.
Jing was reportedly seen accompanying Liu to her hometown in Hunan around Lunar New Year, while Liu was subsequently linked to a visit to Jing's family in Shenyang.
Those reported trips prompted speculation that both families had accepted the relationship and that marriage could be approaching.
By 2025, online claims went further, suggesting they had already obtained a marriage certificate privately. No reliable evidence emerged to confirm those reports.
Jing and Liu Seen Holding Hands
Interest in the couple continued into 2026.
In February, reports emerged of Jing and Liu holding hands at Shanghai airport, providing another indication that their relationship remained close. More recently, fans discussing The Early Spring noticed Liu apparently walking separately from Jing during an airport appearance. Some interpreted the move as an attempt to avoid drawing attention away from his promotional activities and on-screen pairing.
That interpretation, however, remains fan speculation rather than something Liu has publicly explained.
Jing Boran Previously Dated Actress Ni Ni
Before being linked to Liu, Jing was in a confirmed relationship with Chinese actress Ni Ni.
The actors dated from around 2016 before their studios announced in 2018 that they had amicably separated.
His relationship with Liu has been handled very differently. Despite years of sightings and persistent reports, the pair have maintained their privacy and never formally defined their relationship publicly.
So, while Jing and Liu are widely believed to have been together for years, there is currently no verified evidence that they have secretly married. Unless either star or their representatives confirms otherwise, the viral wedding story remains an unconfirmed celebrity rumour.
