Aishwarya Rai Stuns in Black at Bollywood Birthday Party [PHOTOS]

Bollywood birthday parties are no less equal to a red carpet event especially when such a fashionista as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan graces the occasion.

The actress donned a black salwaar suit, the traditional Indian dress comprising tight bottom, a long top and a wide stole, to attend a birthday party of an ace filmmaker's sister.

The 39-year-old Bachchan, who was accompanied by her mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan, a yesteryear actress turned politician, was a head turner at the event. A patch of green on her black outfit upped the style quotient of the beauty.

The former Miss World, also dubbed as the most beautiful woman in the world, completed her ensemble with a pair of high heels and let her hair loose.

Black seems to be the hot favourite of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as she has been spotted in black ensembles at three engagements recently.

Earlier, Aishwarya Rai attended an event of Longines, of which she is a brand ambassador, in New Delhi where she stunned in a black lehnga, another ethnic dress made up of a bodice, skirt and a stole.

Having been criticised for long for not shedding pregnancy weight as fast as her contemporaries did, the actress appeared in a eye-catching slim post-baby body at the Oldest Longines Watch in India contest, organised by the company at the Taj Palace hotel.

More recently, Bachchan, who gave birth to her daughter Aradhya in November 2011, was spotted in an all-black Burberry suit with cropped pants and a blazer at an event to promote stem cell banking in Mumbai.
