The much-anticipated "American Horror Story: 1984" premiered Wednesday. The ninth season of the series is a tribute to the 1980s slasher films, and it hasn't disappointed the audience so far.

"AHS:1984" premiered with the episode titled 1984 and saw a group of teenagers heading to Camp Redwood where they spend a nightmare of a summer. The show opens in the 1970s and introduces Mr. Jingles, the villain of the season who commits brutal murders and collects the parts of corpses. Back then, he carried out ruthless slaughter, and has a cabin full of corpses.

In the present day (1984), the returning cast is introduced, and they head to the campsite to spend the summer as counsellors. There they learn about the 1970s massacre and meet the only survivor of the incident, Margaret. In addition, they learn about the gruesome murderers committed by Mr. Jingles, who is back to haunt them.

When "AHS:1984" returns next week with episode 2 titled "Mr. Jingles." It is clear the campers will get to know the serial killer better. Meanwhile, Brooke's night stalker is getting closer. Despite her efforts to escape the attacker, she will continue to get haunted by him.

By the look of the trailer for "AHS: 1984" episode 2, it is certain that the presence of the psychopath will be felt by everyone. After murdering nine campers in the 1970s, Mr. Jingles was sent to a mental asylum. However, he recently broke out from the asylum and freed everyone in the facility. He has already claimed the life of a gas station worker and he is coming back to Redwood.

Blood splatter and murders in the vicinity continue. The preview gives a good look at what's in store for the rest of the season and is assured that not everyone is going to get out of Camp Redwood alive.

"A psychopath who committed mass murders is on the loose and he has an obsession with you," we hear one of the campers telling the other in the promo for the upcoming episode.
