Arsenal legend Ray Parlour believes Tottenham Hotspur can win the Premier League title this season if they can maintain their challenge over the next few months.

The former Highbury star believes Arsenal, now 12 points behind the two Manchester club, are out of the race to win the title this season but intimates Tottenham's current form makes them worthy challengers to City and United.

Following Tuesday night's eye-catching 2-0 victory over Norwich, Tottenham are just seven points behind City and United with a game in hand, and are five points clear of their bitter Premier League rivals Arsenal.

Parlour, who won three Premier League titles during his hugely impressive Gunners career, believes Arsenal's draw against Wolves on Tuesday has all but ended their hopes of a possible title tilt this season, yet Tottenham's most recent result has definitely heightened the prospect of Spurs mounting a sustained challenge with United and City.

"Come April, if they (Tottenham) are up there, they have got a great chance of winning it Spurs, no doubt about it," The former Arsenal midfielder told TalkSport.

"From Arsenal's point of view, it's now top four. For me, Arsenal can't win the league but top four is vital to be in that Champions League."
