Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Paulista believes the Gunners can take the Premier League title should they win their remaining seven games. The Brazilian defender said his side need to focus on their own games as he predicted that Leicester City and Tottenham will drop some points in a final part of the season that will contain some surprises.

The north London side visit West Ham on Saturday (9 April) in third position of the Premier League table, 11 points behind the Foxes and four away from Spurs but with one game in hand. Leicester, who have a trip to Sunderland on Sunday, will win the title if they win four of their remaining six games having won their last four games.

Gabriel, however, is convinced that there will be still some surprises in the last part of the season as both the Foxes and Tottenham will suffer some blows, with Mauricio Pochettino's side hosting Manchester United on Sunday following their draw at Liverpool.

"First I hope that we'll be able to win the seven matches we have left," Gabriel told Arsenal Player. "We must focus on that and forget about the other teams and whether they're winning or losing."

Arsenal have won their last two games and Gabriel is hopeful to continue the good run all the way to the finale of the season.

"There are many surprises [in the Premier League]. The competition has been very difficult and is very complicated. The team at the top of the league have a large points difference and the big teams fluctuate a lot, and they lose some games that they shouldn't lose. It's a very hard competition.

"There'll [still] be surprises but I hope that the surprises will be on the other teams and that we can win all seven games to be champions."
