Atletico Madrid will look to secure their progress to a third successive Champions League quarter-final when they take on PSV Eindhoven in the round of 16 second leg at the Vicente Calderon on 15 March.

Where to watch live

Kick-off is set for 7.45pm GMT. The game will be broadcast live on BT Sport 2.

Overview

Atletico Madrid swept to a 3-0 home win over Deportivo La Coruna at the weekend to close the gap on La Liga leaders Barcelona to eight points. The Spanish side hold a slender advantage against PSV Eindhoven after playing out a goalless draw at the Philips Stadion in the first leg.

Defender Stefan Savic (calf) and midfielder Tiago Mendes (leg) remain sidelined through injury, but forward Fernando Torres (knee) should return.

PSV Eindhoven are bidding to reach their first Champions League quarter-final in nine years, but are yet to win away from home in this season's competition. The Dutch champions have never won on Spanish soil in 12 attempts.

Andres Guardado (hamstring) and Maxime Lestienne (calf) are both doubtful to feature, while Uruguayan forward Gaston Pereiro is suspended.

What managers say

Diego Simeone: "We are in a difficult situation because a draw could take them through. PSV have a great team and they have the advantage that an away goal counts double. We will have the crowd behind us, though. I have a good feeling about the return match."

Phillip Cocu: "I'd said before that, if you can keep a clean sheet at home, you lay a good foundation. We have something to fight for in Madrid now; it's all to play for. If we can get a goal over there, we have a chance to go through. We're going to give everything to do that."
