Bangladesh police arrested and charged a man for allegedly making videos of his sexual encounters with women and blackmailing them later. He allegedly sought money from some women, while forced others to become his "sex slaves", police said.

Fuad Bin Sultan, the 33-year-old self-proclaimed "Sultan of Sex", was the first to start porn production in the country, Bangladesh's Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) said and added that they recovered large quantities of pirated CDs, laptops and methamphetamine-based Yaba tablets from his apartment.

Police said that Sultan initially started as a male escort and later became a "porn kingpin" by setting up two porn sites in 2015. The sites contained photographs, contact numbers of women willing to sell sex. The prices charged by the women were also mentioned in the websites, police added.

The accused also arranged for "safe" apartments for young men to have sex with the women. Police noted that the man used two apartments left to him by his late father to operate the illegal sex racket.

Police conducted a raid at one of those apartments on Tuesday (1 August) and recovered evidence of his porn business. Sultan is also accused of live-streaming sexual acts on Facebook by hiding his face with superheroes masks.

He also has associates working under him to run the porn business, RAB-1 chief Kashim Bin Sarwar said, according to BDnews24.com.

Sarwar added that Sultan had his first sexual experience at the age of 17 with a sex-worker in an upscale hotel in Dhaka. That incident catapulted him into "insatiable and perverse" sexual acts, he noted quoting Sultan.

"I always wanted to be in a profession that would bring me company of numerous women and loads of money," Sarwar further quoted Sultan as saying.

Pornography is illegal in Bangladesh and Sultan now faces prison for at least 10 years if found guilty under the country's tough anti-pornography laws.
