6:55: And that's it! For the first time in 10 years someone other than Real Madrid or Barcelona will lift the La Liga title as Atletico Madrid shatter the Spanish duopoly to win the league for the first time in 18 years!

FULL TIME Barcelona 1-1 Atletico Madrid - Atletico win La Liga

6:51: Three minutes of extra time added on.

6:47: There is just a couple of minutes left in this contest. Pique has been moved up front and Alves delivers his umpteenth cross into the box towards the centre half but Atletico deal with it.

6:42: Dani Alves has a crack from some distance out but Courtois is behind it and firmly palms it clear. The resulting corner is cleared and Atleti attempt to launch a counter but Mascherano brilliantly reads it and cleans up the mess.

6:38: Barcelona are dominating possession but, as the case has been for much of the season, are lacking the incision to open Atleti up. Xavi, who has just come on, is the latest to try as he launches a cross field ball but there's too much on it and Courtois collects.

6:34: Jose Sosa is on to replace Adrian. 15 minutes left at the Nou Camp, can Atleti hold on?

6:30: Barcelona have a free kick approximately 20 yards out just to the right of goal, seems made for Messi, right? Wrong. The Argentine slams a poor effort into the wall. Barcelona have regained control of this contest however and Atletico may now be happy to hang onto the point they need.

6:27: Messi slams the ball into the roof off the net! It won't count however; the flag is up and replays suggest the ball struck an arm following the initial knock down.

DISALLOWED GOAL - Barcelona

6:22: Alves dinks the ball into the path of Fabregas who attempts to battle his way towards the byline but he is quickly crowded out by a gaggle of Atletico players and loses possession. Neymar is now coming on for Pedro, who passed up a great opportunity in the first half.

6:18: Busquets has picked up a knock and is replaced by Song. Still no sign of Xavi or Neymar.

6:15: Atletico have started this half brilliantly, as the score line might suggest to you. They are stretching the home side at every opportunity and Koke nearly capitalises as he is found slipping through the backline but is tackled just in time.

6:10: Atletico are level! Godin is free in the area as a corner is swung in and his bullet header flies into the back of the net! As it stands, Atleti are champions!

Goal! Barcelona 1-1 Atletico (Godin)

6:04: And the second half is back underway and moments in David Villa has hit the post!

HALF TIME - Barcelona 1-0 Atletico

It's also half time in Barcelona where Atletico's wonderful campaign is crumbling before their eyes. Both Diego Costa and Arda Turan were forced off by injury before Alexis Sanchez blasted a decisive opener that will ensure Barcelona win the title if things remain as they are.

5:35: Barcelona have the lead through a wonderful goal from Alexis! From the right Fabregas dinks a lovely ball into the danger zone that Messi chests down into the direction of the Chilean who, from an incredibly tight angle, rifles a half volley into the back of the net! Some may question how Courtois was beaten at his near post but the sheer velocity of Alexis' shot ensured he didn't have a chance. As it stands, Barcelona will be crowned champions.

Goal! Barcelona 1-0 Atletico Madrid (Alexis, 33)

5:32: Arsenal win another corner that Cazorla swings in. The loose ball falls to Ramsey who connects with a fine volleyed effort but Davies is in front of him to make an outstanding block!

5:31: Barca pass up the best chance of the game so far! Alves, who has been his side's biggest threat so far, bursts down the right and swings an inviting ball into the box towards Pedro, but the forward can't get the right connection and directs his header wide.

5:25: What rotten luck for Simeone's side. Turan is back on the pitch for a few minutes but after a rather innocuous collision with Cesc Fabregas goes down again. This time he is unable to carry on and he is replaced by Raul Garica. Nightmare start for Simeone.

5:24: More bad news for Atletico, Arda Turan is down and immediately starts slamming the turf in frustration.

5:20: What a blow for Atletico and their La Liga and Champions League hopes. Diego Costa, who has been persistently troubled by a hamstring injury during the final third of the season has limped off to receive treatment and hasn't returned. Adrian replaces him and the Spanish striker is understandably distraught on the sidelines.
