Alen Halilovic's agent has revealed that top clubs from the Premier League and the Bundesliga want to sign his client but the Croatian player has the "clear desire" to go back to Barcelona instead. Zoran Stojadinovic, nevertheless, insisted that the La Liga giants will not make a decision on the future of the Sporting de Gijon loanee until the end of the season.

Arsenal and Tottenham were heavily linked with the 19-year-old forward in 2014 after he garnered comparisons with Luka Modric and current Barcelona star Ivan Rakitic during his time at Dinamo Zagreb. However, the Catalans convinced the player to snub other suitors and move instead to the Nou Camp.

The Croatian international spent the 2014-2015 campaign with the Barcelona second team before being loaned to Sporting in the summer in order to give him some first-team experience. Halilovic has taken advantage of the opportunity to prove his talent at the Asturian side.

The teenager has had up and downs during the season due to his age but his five goals and five assists in 35 appearances have been enough to attract the attention of a number of clubs that are ready to make a new battle for his services.

His agent, Zoran Stojadinovic, revealed earlier this month that Valencia had already approached him to express an interest in securing his services, while Sevilla, Villarreal and Sporting de Gijon themselves are also reportedly keen.

Stojadinovic then suggested that in case Barcelona opt to part ways with the Croatian at the end of the season, another loan move would be the most likely option, revealing that his €35m (£27.7m, $39.9m) release clause will complicate any deal on permanent basis.

Now the agent of the Barcelona loanee has revealed that two top Premier League clubs and a further two from the Bundesliga have joined the race to secure his services. Yet, he insisted that the 19-year-old forward still has his sights set on breaking into the Catalan's first-team.

"There is a real interest from two English clubs and two other Germans, all of them world-class. Barcelona will not address this issue until they finish the season," the agent said to Goal. "The desire of Alen is very clear; to go back to Barcelona, take minutes and score goals."

Luis Enrique recently claimed that Barcelona are yet to make a decision over the forward despite suggesting he may need to continue his progression somewhere else before having his dream chance at the Nou Camp.

"This is not a issue that I need to discuss right now," the manager responded when asked whether the Croatian will return to Barcelona in the summer last month. " Halilovic started the season playing a lot of games, being an important player for Sporting, but he has not been in the starting line-ups in recent times. For sure, he has many things to improve. But I repeat, that the decision over the loan will be discussed at the end of the season with the technical staff. Now is not the moment."
