Bayern Munich are in talks with reported Chelsea target Douglas Costa, although his agent insists there is no final agreement in place yet.

Shakhtar Donetsk star Costa, who is currently on international duty with Brazil at the Copa America, was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in January, telling Globo Esporte he would relish the opportunity to play for his "dream" club.

While nothing transpired during the January window, the 23-year-old winger continued to push for a move to the Premier League in March, telling FouFourTwo he would be "really interested in a move to Chelsea [to] achieve everything I want" working under Jose Mourinho.

Bayern would appear to have stolen a march on the Premier League champions, however. German outlet Sport reported on Thursday (25 June) that a deal with Shakhtar was close, with Douglas's agent Kia Joorabchian since confirming interest from the German champions.

"I can confirm there is interest from Bayern, but nothing has been concluded yet," he told calciomeracto.it.

Chelsea's decision to sign Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina in January effectively ended their interest in Douglas that month, but the Brazil international would appear determined to get his move to the Premier League.

He did indicate that his release clause of €50m (£35.4m) could mean his dream will not come easy, pointing to the difficulty Chelsea had dealing with Shakhtar to sign Willian in 2013.

"Willian had all that trouble and his release clause was €35m," Costa said. "If you think that mine is even bigger, around €50m, you can imagine that it won't be any easier. I've also had talks with other sides like Milan and Monaco throughout this time, but none of them have reached the price asked by Shakhtar."
