Brie Bella went looking through her Instagram direct messages during a podcast recording earlier this month, searching for explicit photos.

She found nothing. Not one unsolicited nude. Ever. Her twin sister Nikki, sitting right next to her, apparently gets them constantly.

The whole thing came up during their podcast appearance with Deion Sanders on 8 February, Wrestlezone reported. Nikki mentioned her direct messages had been flooded with explicit content ever since last year's Super Bowl, when she told Sanders her favourite colour was 'dark chocolate' during a Radio Row interview. That comment went viral and, well, some people took it as an invitation.

Sanders asked what she meant by 'flooded'. Brie clarified. Yes, those kinds of pictures. The unsolicited anatomy photographs that nobody's actually asking for. Nikki described the range - some come from regular fan accounts, whilst others arrive from more established profiles who at least attempt some degree of respectability before crossing lines.

The Empty Inbox Problem

That's when Brie decided to check her own messages. Live, on air, she scrolled through her DMs looking for similar content.

Nothing. Zero. Brie, 42, told Sanders she's never received a single explicit photo from anyone. Then came the question: 'What's wrong with me? Why isn't anyone sending this stuff?'

Everyone laughed, but there was genuine confusion underneath. Both twins are former WWE Divas Champions. Both are Hall of Famers inducted in 2021. Both starred in reality television for years with Total Divas and their spin-off, Total Bellas. Their careers mirror each other almost exactly, yet Nikki's inbox is apparently overwhelmed, whilst Brie's remains pristine, according to Ringside News.

Sanders questioned the logic of sending such photos in the first place. What do these people expect to happen? Does anyone genuinely think Nikki will respond positively? He seemed both amused and baffled by the entire phenomenon.

Nikki admitted her typical reaction is disgust. She uses the word 'Ew,' though she said some senders show more restraint than others. Certain verified accounts apparently keep things respectful rather than immediately crossing lines. She joked that whilst some had 'potential,' others definitely did not. Brie added her own observation: Nikki didn't need dating apps because Tinder came to her instead.

Back In The Ring

The DM conversation made for good podcast content, but both sisters have more serious business at hand. The Bella Twins reunited at January's Royal Rumble and are now pursuing the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships, currently held by Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY.

Brie appeared on Monday Night RAW last month for the first time in nearly six years. This could be their final competitive run - they were inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021, when active wrestling seemed behind them for good. The twins had largely served as ambassadors for WWE in recent years rather than competing regularly.

Fans are excited about the reunion and speculating about potential matchups and how long it might last. Brie had stepped away to focus on family life with her husband, former WWE star Bryan Danielson, and their two children. Nikki has been managing personal matters, including the end of her engagement to wrestler Artem Chigvintsev, TJR Wrestling noted.

The sisters face stiff competition. Ripley and IYO SKY won the titles on 7 January and have already defended them successfully against multiple challengers. But the Bella Twins' return has generated significant buzz in the wrestling community, with their first appearance at the Royal Rumble drawing a strong reaction from the crowd.

Nikki thanked Sanders for helping her 'get her groove back' after their flirty exchange last year. Whether that groove includes sorting through unwanted anatomy photos is debatable.
