'Are the Conservatives Still Going?' Bonnie Blue Hits Back After Tory MP Raises NSPCC Safeguarding Concerns

Bonnie Blue has hit back at the Conservatives after Joy Morrissey, the shadow minister for women and equalities, raised safeguarding concerns with the NSPCC over a promotional video featuring the adult performer and her newborn baby.

Blue rejected suggestions that her child had been placed at risk and accused Conservative figures of using the controversy for political attention.

The dispute centres on footage showing Blue, whose real name is Tia Billinger, sitting on a bed with her baby on her lap while three men wearing balaclavas stood nearby.

Morrissey, the Conservative MP for Beaconsfield, contacted the NSPCC after raising what she described as serious safeguarding concerns about the video.

Her intervention focused on a newborn baby's involvement in promotional material associated with an adult-content creator. Morrissey argued that children should not be incorporated into sexualised commercial branding or used in material promoting adult entertainment.

Those concerns represent Morrissey's assessment of the footage. They do not amount to a safeguarding finding against Blue, and no publicly confirmed determination found that the performer endangered her child.

Blue strongly rejected the criticism. 'Oh, are the Conservatives still going?' she said while responding to the political intervention.

The performer maintained that her child was 'loved, protected and incredibly well looked after' and said becoming a mother had not changed her professional identity.

'Becoming a mum hasn't changed the fact that I'm Bonnie Blue,' she said, adding that she knew 'exactly where Bonnie ends and being a mum begins.'

Blue also questioned the motives behind the Conservative criticism, suggesting politicians were mentioning her name to attract attention and remain relevant.

That characterisation reflects Blue's own view of their motives and has not been independently established. She further argued that genuine concerns about children should be reported through appropriate safeguarding channels, but said services should not have their time taken up simply because critics objected to her profession.

Her assertion that the complaint could take resources away from other children is also her own assessment. No evidence shows that Morrissey's intervention prevented another case from receiving attention.

The controversy has also drawn criticism from Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch, who argued that the circumstances surrounding the video warranted safeguarding scrutiny.

Badenoch criticised the inclusion of a baby in material associated with an adult-content creator and said adults should act when they believe a child could potentially be at risk.

Her remarks, like Morrissey's intervention, represent political concern rather than an official finding of wrongdoing.
