Brad Pitt was spotted for the first time following his divorce from Angelina Jolie, whom he married in 2014 after meeting on the sets of their movie Mr and Mrs Smith in 2005. The Allied actor made his first public appearance at the private screening of the upcoming movie Moonlight in Los Angeles.
Pitt's outing comes after the Original Sin actress filed for divorce from the Fight Club actor on 19 September, citing irreconcilable differences.
Multiple reports have claimed that that the former couple has reached an agreement, wherein their children will continue to remain in Jolie's custody, while Pitt gets "therapeutic visits." Pitt had reportedly filed for joint custody of their children last week after Jolie asked for sole physical custody of their brood.
At the time of the split, several reports claimed that Pitt had allegedly attacked Maddox on a private jet, following which a child abuse probe was launched by the Department of Children and Family Services. The DCFS investigation has reportedly been expanded to the entire family.
Pitt "did not commit any abuse of his children" and has been "cooperating fully" in the best interest of his children, a source previously told E! News.
Ever since the child abuse allegations against Pitt surfaced, the actor and his 15-year-old son's relationship has come under the media lens. According to a recent report from HollywoodLife, Maddox has been having emotional issues following the split of his parents.
"The divorce has been difficult for all the children but Maddox is having a particularly rough time with his father Brad [Pitt]," a source told the celebrity gossip website. "Maddox is angry and having a hard time understanding everything that is happening and why."
Pitt and Jolie share six children: Maddox 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.
