Hispanic Woman Who Threatened to Call ICE on Mexican Taco Vendor Now Warns 'I Will Blame All of You' if She Takes Her Life

A California cleaning-company owner filmed threatening to call ICE on a taco vendor has warned online critics that she will hold them responsible if she takes her own life.

Francesca Ortega made the remark in a video dated 28 September 2026, in which she also accused the media of trying to profit from the incident. It followed a confrontation with a taco vendor in Stevenson Ranch, near Santa Clarita. The original clip, posted on X on 23 September, has passed 1.9 million views.

The Confrontation That Went Viral

The footage was shared on TikTok by Dre Torres and reposted on X by @LongTimeHistory, where it drew more than 1.9 million views. KHTS, the local news outlet, placed the encounter on The Old Road in Stevenson Ranch. Stevenson Ranch is an unincorporated Los Angeles County community, not part of the incorporated City of Santa Clarita.

Ortega told the vendor in Spanish she would call ICE, and it translated her insult as 'stinky old woman'. She also used other insults, including calling the vendors criminals. Ortega argued the stand hurt neighbouring businesses that pay rent, and described it as cheap and not classy.

Ortega later said the exchange began when the vendor photographed her licence plate. She told KHTS: 'it was just a confrontation'. She grew up in Mexico, according to The Mary Sue.

The vendor's permit status was not established in the available reporting. Santa Clarita has its own sidewalk-vending permit requirements, while Los Angeles County regulates sidewalk vending in unincorporated areas.

Backlash, an Apology and a Disputed Phone Number

Ortega said the response wrecked the business she spent 10 years building, and that its once-perfect reviews were flooded. In her video she made comments about Latino people and the changes she said she had seen in the area.

She also said she feared for her family. She said she was afraid to go outside and worried her address had been published. None of those claims has been independently verified.

She then posted an apology video. She said the clip was taken out of context, while acknowledging her behaviour was unacceptable. She blamed her pregnancy for the outburst. She said the fallout was harming her children and unborn baby, calling it a 'complete nightmare'.

A second dispute followed. Ricardo Morales said he sent Ortega a critical message, and about 40 minutes later, his phone filled with angry calls and texts. Ortega confirmed to FOX 11 that she had changed her business's Google listing to his number.

She said she did it because people were harassing her and would not stop calling. Morales said the calls had not stopped. He told FOX 11 they came from across the United States, and he called her conduct vindictive.

'I Will Blame All of You'

In the 28 September video, Ortega said she would blame her critics for taking her life if the harassment continued. Primetimer quoted Ortega as saying: 'I will blame all of you guys for taking my life'. The warning was conditional, as she said it would apply if the harassment continued.
