At least four people were killed when atornado swept through the town of Dolores in south-western Uruguay on 15 April. According to local reports, more than 200 people suffered injuries in the disaster, which also decimated at least 400 structures.

CCTV video shows the damage sustained by the daPie footwear store in Dolores. Residents take refuge in the shop, watching the destruction outside, before the tornado turns and makes its way towards them. They then run out of shot as the tornado blasts through the shop, wreaking havoc.

Residents of the small city in Uruguay are sifting through the remains of their homes following the powerful tornado that destroyed all in its path. The government declared a day of national mourning on 17 April for the deaths and President Tabare Vazquez was expected to travel to the devastated city that day as well.
