Real Sociedad winger Antoine Griezmann has decided to stay in La Liga until the end of the season despite Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United reportedly interested in signing him this month.

The 22-year-old French international is proving to be a sensation in La Liga and a number of European big clubs are monitoring his situation – including the Premier League giants, Juventus and Paris Saint Germain.

Despite being a winger, he has already scored 12 goals in 18 domestic league appearances this campaign after netting 10 last season.

Recent reports claimed that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has earmarked him as Juan Mata's replacement but according to Spanish newspaper Marca the Portuguese manager will have to wait until the summer to launch a bid for Griezmann as the player wants to finish the season at Real Sociedad.

Furthermore, after signing Mohamed Salah from Basel, it looks unlikely that the Blues will consider adding another forward to the squad during this transfer window.

With Arsenal and Manchester United also interested in the player, Marca suggest their hopes of signing him will increase next summer as both his club and the player will then be open to negotiating a deal.

Last month reports claim that the Gunners were considering launching a £20m bid to sign him this January while David Moyes' chief scout Robbie Cooke has been spotted a number of times in Spain watching him.

Nevertheless, the French international is reportedly not tempted to move away this January as he hopes to make the trip to Brazil next summer, believing that staying at Real Sociedad will increase his chances of doing just that.

Griezmann still has two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract with Real Sociedad and his release clause is understood to be £25m.
