It looks like Cheryl and Liam Payne have finally decided on a name for their baby boy after welcoming their bundle of joy on 22 March.
According to multiple reports, the new parents have given their newborn an unusual name – Bear Payne.
"Cheryl and Liam wanted to get to know their baby before deciding on a name. They spent over a week getting to know him first before deciding. They wanted to get to know him before they decided on the name," a source told The Sun.
"They didn't have the name Bear before the birth. But they'd been thinking of a name since meeting him and they just felt it suited him. They love their little baby Bear Payne and are truly over the moon and loving being parents for the first time together."
The revelation comes just days after fans of the former X Factor judge and the One Direction heartthrob went into a frenzy after Famousbirthdays said on its website "son of singers Liam Payne from One Direction and Cheryl from Girls Aloud" have named their son Taylor Payne.
Since welcoming their baby, the 33-year-old songstress has just made a single comment about her baby in public.
"On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream. Although he still doesn't have a name he is already stealing hearts," she had said on Instagram.
"We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever."
The 23-year-old Payne had also shared a heartfelt message on Instagram following the birth of his first child.
"My close friends and family know there are very few times when I'm left speechless... wow!" he wrote. "I'm incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it's a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far."
Liam added, "I'm completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she's really made my dreams come true. We haven't named him yet but he's already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed. Happy Mother's Day everyone!"
