A toddler in China was rescued by firefighters after he got his arm stuck in a meat grinder.

The two-year-old boy from Dangshan, Annui Province, got his arm stuck in the grinder's filling pipe after putting his left arm into the device while it was in operation.

As rescuers could not use large cutting tools, they took the machine apart and then cut open the discharge pipe. The boy's arm was finally freed from the machine after about two hours.

Despite eventually being released, the boy's wrist was badly injured and he was sent to hospital immediately, according to China Central Television. The current status of his injuries is unknown.
