Who Is Jiang Xueqin? 'China's Nostradamus' Whose Trump Prediction Came True Now Warns US Could Lose War to Iran
In a recent interview, Professor Jiang stands by his 2024 prediction: the US will lose the war against Iran.

Professor Jiang Xueqin has been branded as 'China's Nostradamus' after the video of his predictions in 2024 materialised with uncanny accuracy.
During an online lecture that year, he predicted that the now-United States President Donald Trump would return to office and predicted that the United States would be drawn into a war with Iran—a conflict that is currently escalating across the Middle East.
While his first two major predictions have unfolded, his third—a grim forecast regarding the ultimate outcome of the war for the United States—remains the subject of intense global debate.
But unlike other predictions, Professor Jiang does not rely on star charts or mysticism; instead, they are rooted in a methodology of geopolitical forecasting and historical cycles. But who exactly is the man behind these viral predictions?
Who Is Jiang Xueqin?
Based on his LinkedIn profile, Jiang was a Deputy Principal in Shenzhen Middle School, China, from September 2008 to July 2010, and graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature. He has spent much of his career working on education reform and curriculum design in China.
He then took the role of Director at the Peking University High School International Division in Beijing. He also teaches philosophy and history in Beijing.
Beyond his teaching career, Jiang also has a YouTube channel, Predictive History, which has built a following, especially when his predictions went viral online. He now has 1.81 million subscribers.
In the 2024 video, the professor forecast global events by analysing recurring patterns in history, geopolitical incentives, and game theory.
According to NDTV World, Professor Jiang's approach is inspired by the idea of 'psychohistory,' a fictional science imagined by author Isaac Asimov in the Foundation series, where long-term historical patterns are used to anticipate the future.
'China's Nostradamus' Prediction about US-Iran War
Professor Jiang went viral for his 2024 predictions as two of his three major forecasts have already come true, leaving the world watching closely as the conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran continues to simmer.
This track record has led online communities to dub him 'China's Nostradamus.' His most eerie—and debated—prediction is that the US will ultimately lose this war, a result he claims will fundamentally alter the global order.
In the now-viral video, Jiang stated: 'The third big prediction is that the United States will lose this war, which will forever change the global order.'

In a recent interview, Jiang was asked about this prediction and answered that he stands by it. The professor appeared on Breaking Points, a US TV Show where he laid out his prognosis.
He said that Iran 'has many more advantages over the United States,' which he said is based on the progression of the conflict. 'The reality is, right now, it's a war of attrition between the United States and Iran, and Iranians have been preparing 20 years for this conflict,' he added.
Jiang also said that Iran has had plenty of time to prepare for the ongoing war. 'They've had many practice runs. Last June was a 12-day war when the Iranians were able to examine and analyse the strike capacities of both the Israelis and the Americans. And they have had a lot of time, eight months, to prepare fully for this new attack,' he said.
Furthermore, the professor also noted that due to Iran's proxies, they have come up with a 'pretty good' strategy. He said, 'Their proxies, the Houthis, Hezbollah, Hamas and the militias, have been able to really grasp the American mentality. And now they have a pretty good strategy of how to weaken and ultimately destroy the American empire.'
Jiang also said that Iranians are 'waging war against the entire global economy' and that Iran is not only striking Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries but also critical energy infrastructures.
He also predicted that Iran will eventually target water desalination plants, which 'are the lifeblood of these nations because they don't have a fresh water supply,' he added, 'If Iran wiped out the water desalination plant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and that is a city of 10 million people, they'd be out of water in two weeks.'
As Professor Jiang's analysis gains worldwide traction, geopolitical experts caution that these predictions remain highly uncertain.
