It is fan-favourite couple David and Victoria Beckham's 18th wedding anniversary and to mark the special occasion, the stylish pair took to Instagram to share some cheeky pictures from the past.

While the fashion mogul stuck to a gorgeous throwback picture – which is sure to give fans some major feels – David went a little cheeky with his anniversary wishes.

Instead of his usual suave look, the football star appeared to be embracing his fashion faux pas with panache, as he gave a nod to his partner in crime – Victoria, who was donning a matching leather jacket in the picture.

"Wow we really did this," the father-of-four appeared to poke fun at their matching leather jacket style, while wishing his beloved on their eighteen years of togetherness. "Happy Anniversary to an amazing wife, mummy and strong business woman," David added tagging his entire brood minus young Harper – who is yet to debut on Instagram.

Even the former Spice Girl took to the popular picture-sharing site later to profess her love as the couple celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary. Sharing an old picture, the model-turned-businesswoman simply wrote, "I love you... Kisses x."

The Beckhams got married in 1997 at the Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland after they met during a Manchester United game. In the following years, the couple went on to add to their family, welcoming four children - Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 12, and Harper, four.

While the happy couple frequently shares glimpses of their life on social media, rumours have been rife about their private life. Most recently, Victoria addressed one such rumour admitting that she is not as "miserable" as she appears in the pictures.

"David and I have a lot of fun together," she told Vogue Netherlands adding, "If I really was as miserable as I look in some of those paparazzi pictures, my children wouldn't be as happy as they are. And I certainly wouldn't be married anymore."
