Manchester United face Everton in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off looking to bounce back following last Sunday's derby day humiliation.

United, who were demolished 6-1 by leaders Manchester City in their last outing, find themselves five points off the pace in the Premier League but face a tricky away trip to Goodison Park, a ground where they have not won since 2007.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side returned to winning-ways Tuesday when they beat League Two side Aldershot and the Scot is hopeful his squad has enough strength in depth to provide cover with a number of personnel facing late fitness tests.

Ashley Young is the manager's biggest concern after the winger suffered a minor toe injury during the week.

"We have one or two knocks. Ashley Young has a toe injury and we'll see what he's like today," Ferguson told Sky Sports.

"The knocks are nothing serious and I hope we'll have a strong enough squad for tomorrow."

Second-placed United, trail City by five points and are one point ahead of third-placed Chelsea, who beat Everton in the Carling Cup in midweek.

The Toffees are looking to respond after their agonising extra-time defeat in the Carling Cup Fourth Round but manager David Moyes has a number of injury concerns ahead of Saturday's clash.

Club captain Phil Neville was forced off during Wednesday's match with a hamstring injury and will not face his former club.

Tim Cahill also misses out with injury, while on-loan midfielder Royston Drenthe is suspended after his red-card against Chelsea.

United made 11 changes for their 3-0 Carling Cup win over Aldershot but Sir Alex Ferguson is expected to recall many of those involved in last week's Old Trafford nightmare.

Nemanja Vidic and Tom Cleverly are both in line to start, while Wayne Rooney is likely to start against his former club.
