Lewis Hamilton looked mighty impressive in both practice sessions at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. The Briton will be the man to beat come qualifying on Saturday.

The third free practice begins at 10am BST, while the qualifying session starts at 1pm BST. Sky Sports F1 and Sky Sports F1 HD will provide live coverage of both events in the UK.

Practice Review

The Mercedes duo were at their dominant best again, with Nico Rosberg claiming top spot ahead of Lewis Hamilton in Practice 1 and Practice 2 saw them swap places with Hamilton taking over top spot ahead of his team-mate.

However, the Briton set a blistering pace in the second practice session and was ahead of the German by 0.604s. Fernando Alonso was a shock third place in both the sessions, followed by the Mercedes powered trio of Massa, Button and Bottas.

This is a circuit that relies heavily on the power unit, thus the Mercedes powered cars will be favoured over the rest. But car set up will be crucial to tackle the high speed sections, especially with variable weather predicted over the weekend.
