F1 Japan GP 2014: Where to Watch Race Live and Qualifying Review

Nico Rosberg denied Lewis Hamilton a chance to grab his third consecutive pole, by beating his team-mate by .200 of a sec. However, it was the eighth front row lockout my Mercedes this season at the Suzuka circuit in Japan.

Qualifying Review

The Mercedes duo dominated the entire session and went on to lock out the front row for the eighth time this season, with Nico Rosberg taking pole ahead of his team-mate Lewis Hamilton.

None of the teams' cars have been able to come close to the Mercedes' with the closest being Valteri Bottas in third, but still over half a second behind. Filipe Massa was fourth behind his team-mate with Fernando Alonso rounding out the top five.

The Red Bull racing cars are struggling for pace this weekend with Daniel Ricciardo in sixth and Sebastian Vettel in ninth. It will be the last few races for the German with the defending champions as he announced his departure on Saturday ahead of qualifying.

However, we could be in for a tricky race tomorrow as the weather forecast is for heavy rain. It could even the playing field between the chasing pack, but unlikely to trouble the Mercedes drivers.
