The trailer of EL James' much anticipated movie Fifty Shades of Grey hit the web on Thursday, sending the rabid fans of the book series into a frenzy. Now, to ramp up those expectations, the cast has spilled some spoilers and secrets.

Jamie Dornan, who plays Christian Grey, and Dakota Johnson, who plays the blonde beauty Anatasia Steele, along with the author of the series, EL James, appeared on Today and teased the fans about the movie.

"What I've seen hasn't been particularly watered down, so, um, yeah, I thought it was interesting," James said about the 'sexual acrobatics' in the film.

The stars were forthcoming when asked how explicit the film would be.

Dornan was quick to admit that he didn't have anything in common with Christian Grey, the handsome billionaire with a secret sexual side.

"I mean, look, there's always something about any character that you play that you're drawn to because you feel that it relates to something within you," he said.

In the trailer, fans got a sneak-peek of Grey's "red room of pain", where some of the explicit S &M scenes between the leads will be filmed.

"It's going to be sexual and everything, but it's not going to be something that's going to be hard to watch," Dornan said.

Meanwhile, Johnson acknowledged that with so many fans of the book series bound to buy tickets for the movie, the pressure for accuracy is bound to happen.

"90 million people have really vivid ideas of how these scenes go down," she said.

Earlier, James took to her Twitter account to thank the team.

Fifty Shades of Grey will be released on Valentine's Day 2015.
