Amid rumours of Flip or Flop getting cancelled, fans of the hit HGTV show heaved a sigh of relief last week, when it was finally confirmed that the show is coming back for season 8.

As of now, co-hosts Christina and Tarek El Moussa have put up a united front in their professional lives despite the ongoing divorce drama. And, reports claim the ex-couple's reunion was prompted by several factors including those pertaining to money and family.

"Christina realized she and Tarek are stronger overall as a unit," a source told Life & Style explaining why the 33-year-old reality star decided to continue working with her estranged husband despite claims of rash behavior on set and their nasty split.

While she may have agreed to working with Tarek, it does not rule out the fact that the house flipper needs to be "on his best behavior, on and off set".

"She was hesitant about signing on to film more episodes with Tarek because of what he put her through in the past," the website reported referring to alleged incidents of Tarek's violent on-set behavior in the past.

Apparently, the 35-year-old HGTV star used to brag about his sexual escapades on the Flip or Flop sets to "p**s off" Christina. When things went out of control the mother-of-two avoided speaking to her ex.

"The mood differs day to day, but Christina avoids Tarek," a source had told Us Weekly at the time. But, looks like Christina had a change of heart after she was offered a good amount to sign on for more Flip or Flop episodes, per reports.

"Tarek and I have been working together for a long time and we look forward to continuing to work together on Flip or Flop," Christina told People, while Tarek added, "From the beginning, HGTV has shown Christina and me tremendous support and we are excited to go out there and flip many more houses for Flip or Flop."

The couple, who are parents to daughter Taylor, 6, and son Brayden, 21 months, filed for divorce in January after living apart for several months.
