Samsung recently released the Android 4.1.2 XXCMC1 Jelly Bean firmware for the 3G +Wi-Fi version of Galaxy Note 10.1 with model number N8000. The software update is originally for Galaxy Note users from Russia and is compatible with a number of European countries.

Pre-requisites

1) Download Android 4.1.2 N8000XXCMC1 Jelly Bean for Galaxy Note 10.1 to the computer

2) Download Odin v1.85 which will help to install the Jelly Bean firmware

3) Switch off the Note and place it in Download Mode. Press and hold Volume Down and Power buttons together until the Samsung logo or the construction Android robot and a triangle appear. This is Download Mode

4) Run Odin on the computer

5) Connect the tablet to the computer using USB cable while it is in Download Mode. If the tablet is connected to the computer successfully, one of the ID: COM boxes will turn yellow with the COM port number. This step will take some time

6) Select these files extracted from N8000XXCMC1 Jelly Bean folder in the order mentioned to install on the tablet

a) Click on PDA and select file with CODE in its name

b) Click on Phone and select file with MODEM in its name

c) Click on CSC and select file with CSC in its name

d) Click on PIT and select the .pit file

Note: Ignore the last three steps in case such files are not found.

7) In Odin, verify that the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options are selected. Also select the Re-Partition option, if a .PIT file is being used

8) Double check everything and click the Start button in Odin. The installation process will start and take a few minutes to complete

9) After the installation process is completed, the tablet will restart. Users may safely unplug the USB cable from the Galaxy Note once the home screen appears

1) Download root XXCMC1 Android 4.1.2 Superuser package for Galaxy Note 10.1 to the computer

2) Connect the Note to the computer and then copy the downloaded zip file to the SD card of the device

3) Ensure that CWM Recovery is installed on the tablet

4) Switch off the tablet and enter Recovery Mode. To do so switch on the tablet by pressing and holding Volume Up, Volume Down and Power buttons together for about 15 seconds until the recovery mode is seen

5) In CWM Recovery, scroll down to 'install zip from SDcard' and press the Power button to select it

6) Now select 'choose zip from SDcard and select it using the Power button

8) Once the installation process is completed, go to "+++++Go Back+++++" and reboot the tablet by selecting 'reboot system now' from the recovery menu. The device will boot now and take about five minutes to boot the first time
