Galaxy S Tab running Android 5.0.2 Lollipop gets previewed on video SamMobile

Even as Samsung is yet to offer the Android 5.0 Lollipop treat on its flagship phablet, the Galaxy S Tab, folks at SamMobile have laid their hands on a leaked Android 5.0.2 firmware to bring us an exclusive video preview of the same.

As SamMobile reports, the colour scheme and interface of the leaked firmware are quite similar to the ones on newer Samsung phones running Lollipop out-of-the-box.

In addition, various animations and slides have been updated to follow the Material Design standards, while the Samsung Keyboard has been revamped along with the return of mute function that was missing on some older Samsung phones.

As the leaked Lollipop update seems to be closer to completion, we might see a public release of the same in the next few weeks.

However, Galaxy S Tab users must note that the Lollipop update will be rolled out in phases and hence it may not be available across all countries at the same time or some users might have to wait a bit longer than others.

Those who cannot wait for the official release can try checking for the update manually via Settings > About Phone > Software updates or download the update manually via KIES by connecting the device to the computer, using an USB data cable.
