Galaxy S5 Premium Version Leaked: New Device to Have QHD Screen, Exynos 5430 and Intel LTE

The technical specifications for Samsung's long rumoured Galaxy S5 Premier Version has surfaced in a new leak.
Samsung had been rumoured to release two versions of its fifth generation Galaxy S smartphone, the standard and a premium version.
Recently, the Galaxy S5 Premium Version (bearing model numbers SM-G906S and SM-G906K) along with a bunch of Samsung's other devices have been spotted at Zauba, an Indian import and export database.
Although there is no official word, the Premium Version is expected to feature a display with a 2K resolution. Now according to a Sammobile report, the said version of Galaxy S5 will indeed feature a QHD (Quad HD) screen.
Galaxy S5 Premium Version or Galaxy S5 Prime
Samsung's vice chairman had earlier confirmed that they have had a premium version in the pipeline for quite a long time. The standard Galaxy S5 is internally called project K, whereas the prime version is project KQ.
Technical Specifications for Galaxy S5 Premium Version
According to Samsung's latest device sources, the Galaxy S5 Prime or, project KQ is in the middle-to-late phase of development. The devices will reportedly be powered by the Exynos 5430 chip, Intel LTE connectivity and a QHD screen.
The Exynos 5430 is an upgrade over the 5422 chip with four Cortex-A15 cores running at clock speeds up to 2.1GHz and the rest of the four Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.5GHz while paired with ARM Mali graphics unit clocked at 600MHz. The Exynos 5430, which is said to have been built using the 20nm manufacturing process, supports a high-resolution display. Besides, it has a new dedicated co-processor for audio encoding, decoding and audio equalisation, which is called Seiren.
It should also be noted that the device might get a Snapdragon 805 variant for various markets.
Intel LTE modem
The international version of Galaxy S5 Prime will support Intel XMM7260 Category 6 LTE modem with speeds up to 300mbits/s, while the Korean variant of the device will integrate Samsung's own LTE modem, codenamed Shannon300 (SS300).
Release
There is not much information as to when the device will be available. But it is reportedly in the advanced stages of development and is expected sometime within the quarter.
