Rockstar Games have announced the latest additions to GTA Online, the multiplayer component of Grand Theft Auto 5.

From Friday 11 April players will be able to build their Capture jobs with the Creator tool across any of the game type's variants – Contend, GTA, Hold and Raid. They will then be able to share their creations, play each other's and rate them via Rockstar's Social Club.

In celebration of their announcement, from now until Friday 11 April GTA Online players will be able to earn double GTA $ and reputation points (RP). In a statement Rockstar say they're doing this to "help you hone your skills for the wave of new player-made Capture creations to come".

Capture is GTA's version of the classic multiplayer trope Capture The Flag, only with an open world twist. "Strategy plays a huge role as you run decoys, set traps and place obstacles to ensure your enemies don't get close to your goods," reads the statement.

Title update 1.12 has also been released, which includes bonus RP when you rate other people's created content, the ability to suspend police interference for a set time and increased monetary payouts for the Parachute, Races, Deathmatches and Last Team Standing game types when played with fewer than four players.

As reported here, recent updates have continued to add functionality for the long-promised GTA Online heists – the evidence for which can be seen in the game in the form of empty banks and other locations. Rockstar will one day flip the switch on online heists, but for now players are being asked to stay patient.
