Fortnite Cheaters Beware: Epic Games Forces Cheaters to Make Public Apology
Epic Games have been known to publicly call out cheaters, with one player also forced to donate all the money they unfairly won from a Fortnite tournament last year

Epic Games didn't just ban two Fortnite players caught cheating, they also subjected them to public humiliation by forcing them to make YouTube apology videos.
In a statement released on X, Epic Games revealed they'd taken legal action against a player who used and sold cheat codes and another who committed cyber attacks on players livestreaming their gameplay.
'Both have been ordered to stop these activities and are banned from playing Fortnite,' they said in their statement.
'If you break the rules there are consequences. Check out their messages to the Fortnite community ⬇️' they added, linking the cheaters' apologies in the comment section.
Forced To Apologise
Both apologies were posted to YouTube and contained short written statements posted against a black screen.
'Hi everyone it's Zebsi here' the first video began. Over the minute long video, Zebsi admitted to carrying out Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks which impacted Fortnite matches under the username TTV.Humpty.LLC.
'My accounts have been banned from Fortnite. I regret my actions and will not be involved in any more DDoS attacks,' they said.
The other apology, made by Mirrored on YouTube, made a short statement that appeared on screen for 25 seconds.
'I would like to apologise to the Fortnite community for both cheating in Fortnite tournaments and selling and distributing cheats and hardware that enabled others to cheat,' the apology began.
'I violated Epic's rules and they have taken legal action against me. I am banned from playing Fortnite forever and I'll face legal action if I sell or distribute cheats again,' Mirrored added.
The Cheaters May Have Gotten Off Lucky
It seems like Epic Games didn't pursue a financial penalty for either of the cheaters, although their apologies suggest they might if ever caught cheating again.
One cheater caught by Epic Games in February wasn't so fortunate.
Repulse God shared his account with another player in order to qualify for a Fortnite Champion Series final. By unfairly winning a spot in the grand final, the duo reportedly won a total of £7,462.30 ($10,000).
When Repulse God was found out, he was not only publicly outed by Fortnite on X and forced to make an apology video, but also made to donate their prize money to charity.
'Epic took legal action against me and now I'm banned from participating in Fortnite tournaments forever. I also have to pay a monetary settlement, which includes the prize money I received but did not win fairly, which Epic will donate to charity,' Repulse God wrote in their YouTube apology.
Cheaters Subjected To Public Ridicule
Users didn't hesitate to troll Mirrored and Zebsi following their forced apology videos.
'Good boyyyyy,' one user crooned in the comments section of Zebsi's video, with many other users posting similar comments.
'who's a good boy, is it you? you are!' another taunted in Mirrored's YouTube comments.
'Writing lines in detention ahhhh post,' another comment read.
Other comments were more serious and shamed the cheaters for their actions.
'Its crazy how u could of just..played that game like a normal person and improve like a normal person and just watched a creator like a normal person without wanting to ruin their games..not hard to not do those things man,' a user commented on Zebsi's video.
'But like... Why?? For a sick kick? For twisted fun? Honestly. Be real,' another wrote.
