Happy Birthday, Brad Pitt! The Golden Globe-winning actor turns 50 today.

Pitt has been in the spotlight for decades now, and his fans have seen him grow, both in age and as an actor. He seems to be one of those actors that just keep getting better with age.

Pitt, came into spotlight after starring in in the big-screen film Thelma & Louise opposite Geena Davis in 1991. His career boomed with movies including Interview with a Vampire, Fight Club, Ocean's Eleven, Troy, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Moneyball. He has received four Academy Award nominations and five Golden Globe Award nominations.

On a personal front, Pitt and his long term partner Angelina Jolie are parents to six children (three of whom were adopted): Maddox, 11; Pax, nine; Zahara, seven; Shiloh, six; and four-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. Jolie was previously married to actors Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton, while Pitt was earlier married to actress Jennifer Aniston. Jolie and Pitt reportedly became close on the set of the film Mr & Mrs Smith, while Pitt was still married to Aniston.

Meanwhile, Madame Tussauds unveiled new wax figures of Pitt and Jolie, who are known as "Brangelina", ahead of his birthday, in London.

"Our current figures of Brad and Angelina are amongst the most popular in the attraction and receive a lot of attention," PR manager, Nicole Fenner said, adding, "But they were created over eight years ago, so Brad's 50th seems the perfect time to welcome two new figures of the world famous stars to the attraction."
