Heidi Klum
Heidi joins judges Howie Mandel, Howard Stern and new-comer Mel B.

Heidi Klum has landed herself a job as the new judge on America's Got Talent.

The 39-year-old German-born supermodel will join Howie Mandel, Howard Stern and new-comer Mel B, after signing a last minute deal with producers.

The former Victoria Secrets beauty is said to have been approached by bosses in hopes that she would provide an injection of glamour to the hit NBC show.

"America's Got some serious Talent! I'm really excited to join the panel of AGT to see it all-from the ridiculous to the fantastic!" said Klum in a statement.

"I love the surprise element of the show and not knowing what we'll see next and who will wow us. I'm also looking forward to spending time with my fellow judges-Howard Stern, Howie Mandel and Mel B!"

The rumour mill went into overdrive after TMZ snapped a photo of the America's Got Talent set which showed the name "HEIDI" underneath her own personal judge's X.

NBC confirmed has since confirmed the appointed.

"As we look to develop an act that will get the world's attention, we and the contestants will benefit from Heidi's international sensibility and understanding of what works in today's global entertainment industry," said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming at NBC.

Sharon Osbourne quit the show at the end of season seven following a public dispute with the network. She had claimed the network fired her son, Jack, after he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
