TaiG, the new Chinese jailbreak developer team, has just rolled out its latest version of iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak with TaiG v1.1.0 untether update via Cydia, which brings a bug-fix for sandbox issues to prevent redundant info being generated for the system.
Those who have already jailbroken their device with TaiG v1.0.2 need not re-jailbreak with the latest version and instead one can install the TaiG 8.0-8.1.1 untether update (v1.1.0) to fix this issue.
Nevertheless, first timers into the iOS 8/8.1.1 jailbreak scene can go ahead and download the latest TaiG jailbreak update for Windows, TaiG v1.1.0 (from here) and follow the step-by-step guide posted below to install the same on Windows as well as Mac.
- Turn off Touch ID or lock screen passcode as follows: Go to Settings > General > Touch ID & Passcode > turn off Simple Passcode.
- Then turn off Find My iPhone feature by navigating to: Settings > iCloud > Find my iPhone.
- Restore to iOS 8.1.1 via iTunes as OTA updates have known issues with jailbreaks. Download iOS 8.1.1 from here before you proceed.
