Android 4.4.2 (4.19.401.11) KitKat OTA update released for HTC One. Droider.eu

HTC has started rolling out a new Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware update for the international variant of HTC One (M7).

Earlier this month , HTC confirmed to have suspended the Android 4.4.2 firmware Over-The-Air update temporarily due to the difficulties experienced by a number of users. There was no official word as to when the upgrade service would resume.

Now HTC has pushed out a second Android 4.4.2 OTA update for the HTC One users in some European countries, reports Android Central. With build number 4.19.401.11, the latest stock firmware weighs in at 205MB.

HTC One users residing in Europe should navigate to Settings>> About phone>> Software update>> Check now to manually check for the KitKat OTA update.

The update will not be available for all users at the moment as it is a phased roll-out, however, it is expected to reach all parts across Europe soon. Besides, those who are having carrier-branded device will have to wait for a while.

According to the release note, the 4.19.401.11 Android 4.4.2 build contains important enhancements and bug fixes. The update also adds improvements over Wi-Fi with support for a wide range of routers.

Additionally, the HTC UK software update page suggests the Android KitKat update is pushed to unlocked HTC One variants, Vodafone, O2 and Three customers.

Those who have not received the OTA notification for the update can install the firmware, as well-known Twitter leakstar and XDA contributor, LlabTooFeR has shared the OTA download link, which upgrades the HTC One from 4.19.401.8 to 4.19.401.11.
