Even after the phenomenal defeat at the hands of Manchester United, Wolves' Premier League fortunes continue to decline.

Stephen Hunt's early penalty gave Wolverhampton Wanderers a clear breakthrough, but they were not able to sustain the momentum until giving in to Stoke City 1-2 at Molineux on Saturday night.

Kevin Doyle fired Robert Huth's free-kick on 58 minutes into Wolves' own net to mark the latest in a series of own goals this season. And Peter Crouch's header on 70 minutes sealed the victory in favour of Stoke.

Stoke have recorded their fourth consecutive victory in the competition.
