The Delhi Daredevils (DD) take on Mumbai Indians in the 16<sup>th match of the 2014 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Overview

The Daredevils were handed their third defeat in four matches of this year's IPL after they failed to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by four runs on Friday.

The Hyderabad-based outfit elected to bat first and scored 184 runs in 20 overs losing one wicket in the process. Shahbaz Nadeem was the only wicket-taker for the DD, who clinched Shikhar Dhawan's wicket.

The Delhi-based outfit began the chase brightly with Quinton de Kock and Murali Vijay chipping in a partnership of 99 for the first wicket. The duo scored 48 and 52 runs respectively before their dismissals in the 12<sup>th and 13<sup>th overs.

Needing 82 runs more from 45 balls to win the game, Gary Kirsten's side lost two more wickets but could make only 77 before running out of overs. They are currently second from bottom in the table with two points.

Meanwhile, MI suffered their third straight defeat after losing to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The defending champions lost seven wickets but managed to make 141 runs in 20 overs.

Captain Rohit Sharma was their best batsmen on the day scoring 50 runs from 41 balls while Corey Anderson was their second highest scorer with 39 runs.

The bowlers from the Mumbai-based contingent managed to grab three wickets but failed to break through their opponents' batting order, as CSK completed the chase in 19 overs.

Harbhajan Singh took two wickets while Pragyan Ojha got one to his name. John Wright's men are languishing at the bottom of the table without a single point and he will be hoping that his players quickly find their feet to embark on winning ways.
