Katie Holmes is moving on after her divorce from Tom Cruise.
While appearing on the Today show the actress opened up about her divorce and talked about her approach toward life after Tom Cruise.
She was in the show to discuss her upcoming movie The Giver.
When asked about her divorce with the Mission Impossible actor, Katie was surprisingly upbeat and declared that she is moving forward in her life, reported US Weekly.
"You know what? I never really look back. I just approach life, by taking it one day at a time. I'm really excited about where I am right now. I've had some really wonderful creative experiences. I'm just really grateful," Holmes said.
The 35-year-old actress rose to fame in her role in the '90s teen soap Dawson's Creek. She was lifted into the celebrity A-list after her high-profile marriage to Tom Cruise in 2006. The couple welcomed a daughter, Suri Cruise, that same year, and then they filed for divorce in 2012.
The 35-year-old actress also talked about raising her young daughter Suri, away from the prying paparazzi eyes.
The Giver actress said, regardless of the many projects she has in her life, no role is more important to her than being mum to eight-year-old Suri.
"I think, of course, you try your best," the actress said on the show. "I try very hard because I am very grateful for my upbringing and my parents and siblings. I try to do what they did for me for my little one."
"The most important thing for me is letting her know how proud I am and that her accomplishments mean everything. Whatever I do is whatever. It's really just about her and that's what I think is most important," she added.
