Kim Kardashian has been offered $1 million to spend an evening with a member of the Saudi royal family.

According to MediaTakeOut website, the reality star has accepted the invitation to spend a day as the guest of the prince and is to fly out to Saudi Arabia in January 2015.

The mother-of-one has not yet confirmed the report herself, but news of her impending visit to the region has already prompted angry discussion on Saudi Arabian online forums as to the propriety of the visit.

Kardashian-West, who famously stripped off for a full frontal cover image for Paper magazine, is well-known for her propensity for taking off her clothes and taking photos of herself in varying states of undress. For the highly conservative society of the middle east, news of her impending arrival is a cause for concern.

Jordanian news website Al Bawaba has advised her to 'pack an abaya', a garment traditionally worn by women in conservative parts of the Muslim world, which would ensure she was fully covered her from head to toe. She was also warned that Saudi Arabia is "as far away from her fave glitzy and glamorous hot spot Dubai as could be," and she should dress accordingly.

Kardashian-West caused a storm of controversy when she visited Bahrain in 2012. News of her arrival led to demonstrations with police fire tear gas into the crowds to control them.

The reality star is frequently paid to appear at parties hosted by the super rich. She was paid $500,000 to attend the 2013 Vienna Ball as the date of 81-year-old billionaire Richard Lugner.

The billionaire was however, unhappy with his expensive date and complained to reporters that Mrs Kardashian-West had refused to dance with him. "Kim is annoying me because she's not sticking to the program," he said.

In turn, Kardashian-West claimed that Mr Lugner had been 'aggressive', and had asked her to lose her security as he wanted to be alone with her.

The latest invitation follows a rather more indecent proposal made to the recently married TV star, when a young Saudi prince contacted her on Instagram, offering her 'one million per night'.

Adel Al-Otaibi posted the proposal in a comment on one of her selfies. "I'm Saudi and I'll pay you one million per night Mai," he wrote.

The reality star's popularity has sky-rocketed following her over the top Italian wedding to rapper Kanye West and her recent #BreakTheInternet stunt. She was Microsoft Bing's most searched person in the world eclipsing Beyonce, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber.
