The Librarians are back tonight, 14 December with the show's third episode titled And the Horns of a Dilemma.

According to the official synopsis of the upcoming episode, "The Librarians' first solo mission hits a snag when Baird loses the others in a mysterious Labyrinth that magically exists below the skyscraper of a modern corporation."

The new series premiered last week, (7 December) airing its first two episodes titled And the Crown of King Arthur, and, And the Sword in the Stone.

As per reports, the new adventure series by TNT was quite well received, outperforming the network's other popular shows, The Last Ship.

"An extension of the successful series of Librarian telepics, the series bowed on Sunday night with an average 5.4 million viewers tuning in to the two-hour broadcast," states The Hollywood Reporter.

Now it remains to be seen how far this light and fun adventure series touted as, Indiana Jones meets Doctor Who, goes in terms of building a loyal fan base.

The Librarians episode 3 airs on Sunday, 14 December at 8pm ET/PT on TNT.

The official synopsis of the series reads:

"Returning to the universe of TNT's hit movie franchise, The Librarian, this new series centers on an ancient organization hidden beneath the Metropolitan Public Library dedicated to protecting an unknowing world from the secret, magical reality hidden all around. This group solves impossible mysteries, fights supernatural threats and recovers powerful artifacts, including the Ark of the Covenant, the Spear of Destiny, and Excalibur."
