Elliot Lee's 94th minute volley salvaged a point for West Ham United Under 21's against Liverpool after an entertaining draw at Kirkby Academy.

Dan Potts handed The Hammers an early lead before Raheem Sterling and Suso put the hosts on course for a fourth win of the Elite Group Stage.

Wellington Paulista's levelled after the interval, only for Suso to seemingly secure the points with 10 minutes left.

But Lee smashed home in stoppage time after Dan Potts had met George Moncur's corner to cause an upset against a Liverpool side boasting five players who have made first team appearances this season.

Raheem Sterling
Sterling made one and scored one as Liverpool 3-3 with West Ham United.

Daniel Carr, currently on trial from Dulwich Hamlet, began in attack in front of the on looking Brendan Rodgers and the home side were behind as early as the fourth minute, with an unmarked Potts heading home after Kieran Bywater's back post corner.

Raphael Spiegel saved well from Sterling before the England international equalised with a bolt from the blue from 25 yards, which clattered in off the underside of the crossbar.

And by the half-hour Liverpool were ahead for the first time as an untracked Suso darted from just inside the West Ham half before unleashing a stinging drive which was too good for Spiegel.

Jonjo Shelvey almost double the advantage with a free-kick from the half-way line however hopes the Reds had taking control were hindered 11 minutes after the break as Brazilian striker Paulista, a January loan signing from Cruzeiro, rose highest from another Bywater set-piece to head past Danny Ward.

But when Sterling found Suso, and Liverpool's own Samba star had them ahead once again it looked like the three points were staying in Merseyside

Referee waved appeals for a 90th minute penalty after Moncur had driven into the area, but the Irons were rewarded in the fourth minute of added on time as Lee drove home as Liverpool suffered further set-piece problems.
