Cristian Tello claims he's going to consider leaving Barcelona if he doesn't get more game time.

Cristian Tello has opened the door to a possible move to Liverpool next summer with the Spanish forward admitting that if he doesn't get enough game time at Barcelona he will seek a move elsewhere.

Tello has long been on the Reds' radar with the 22-year-old full of potential after spending the last three years with Barcelona and at Espanyol before that.

Having also become a full Spanish international this year the forward signed a new deal with Barcelona in the summer, but Tello now claims he will look for another destination if he can't break into the first team.

"I am young and I want to play", he told Catalan daily Sport. "If I do not succeed at Barcelona, I will assess my situation at the end of the season."

Tello also confirmed that he would definitely not be leaving in January, hinting that he will wait until the end of the season to decide if his future lies with the Catalan giants or elsewhere.

"I am grateful to this club," he explained. "I am not thinking of changing club when the market reopens."

The young star admitted in September that Liverpool were one of the clubs pursuing him before he elected to sign a new deal with his current club and they will certainly be interested once more should he become avaliable again.

Tottenham are also believed to be interested but as things currently stand the Reds might be in with more of a chance of offering Champions League football next season, with Brendan Rodgers' men currently sitting in second place in the table as the Christmas period rolls around.

And with the youngster receiving just 11 appearances from Tata Martino this season he may well be considering whether a move is best for his long-term prospects.
