Manchester City host Queens Park Rangers at the Etihad on Sunday as Manuel Pellegrini's men look to keep their momentum and push for a second place finish ahead of Arsenal.

Where to Watch Live

Kick-off is set for 1:30pm BST. Live coverage of the game will be on Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 1 HD.

Overview

With the race for the second spot hotting up and Manuel Pellegrini's place in the team under scrutiny, the Chilean has to impress the owners that he is still the right man for the job.

The Citizens had lost the plot at the beginning since the turn of the year, where having caught up with Chelsea, their failure to beat top teams like Arsenal saw them relinquish the lead and end their dream of retaining the league title.

However, three back-to-back wins have secured their position in the top four but with Pep Guardiola expected to leave Bayern Munich in the summer, it can be envisioned that Pellegrini is in charge of his last few games for City, who are known to be ruthless with their managers.

QPR have a different problem to deal with this evening. A loss will lead to relegation, something Burnley have already witnessed, in spite of getting the better of Hull City. Chris Ramsey's failure to get them shift a gear has come back to haunt them, with the team already in deep trouble when he had taken over from Harry Redknapp.

Failure to win any of their 11 away games under the former Tottenham manager was always going to be difficult to put behind, as the London club prepare for yet another year in the championship.

What Managers Say

Manuel Pellegrini: "I think that a big team must play with two strikers at least, or three, if you see Barcelona play with (Luis) Suarez, Neymar and (Lionel) Messi, and Real Madrid play with (Karim) Benzema, Cristiano (Ronaldo) and (Gareth) Bale. But I don't think that is the most important thing. The important thing is in the way you play and the style you want to have with your team."

Chris Ramsey: "Bobby's ongoing situation is well known, and Leroy hopes he will start having played only one game before hand. We're down to the bare bones and the medical staff has been working hard. We had discussions before, but nothing is put in concrete. I'm hoping I'm going to be there but I haven't put pen not put to paper. The decision will be made at the end of the season."
