Manchester United have added Valencia left-back Juan Bernat to their list of potential summer targets, according to English reports.

United boss David Moyes is reportedly keen on bringing Bernat to Old Trafford to replace Patrice Evra, who could be set for a return to Monaco once his contract expires in the summer.

According to the Daily Mail, the 21-year-old is under contract with Valencia until 2015 but Moyes would be willing to pay a significant amount for the signing of the young left-back.

However, the report suggests Bernat has become a key player for Valencia boss Juan Antonio Pizzi and the club are not going to let him go unless the Red Devils pay his €20m clause.

The youngster is having a good season at Mestalla and his performances have caught the eye of a number of top clubs.

Bernat, who was originally a winger, has found himself moved to a deeper role in recent times, where he has improved. He has even been compared to Barcelona star Jordi Alba, who also emerged from Valencia's ranks.

The Red Devils have been linked with a number of defender, such as Bayern Munich's Dante, but is believed that Bernat at the top of Moyes' list.
