Manchester United take on FC Midtjylland in the return leg of the Europa League last 32 tie at Old Trafford on 25 February.

Overview

United suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Danish champions in the away leg last week. Despite taking a lead from Memphis Depay's first half goal, the injury-hit side were unable to avoid another defeat, this time in the second tier of European competition.

Louis van Gaal's side have an away goal and they need to make sure they register a victory over Midtjylland to make it to the last 16 of this season's Europa League. The Dutchman will be without his key players for the clash on Thursday and the list includes star duo of Wayne Rooney and David de Gea.

In the last fixture, United registered a comfortable 3-0 victory over Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup fifth round clash. They now have sealed their berth in the quarter-final of the competition.

Midtjylland, on the other hand played their first fixture in two months and they managed to seal a victory over United in the first leg. They have not been in action after that and had enough time to prepare for the return leg at Old Trafford. It should be seen whether they can cause an upset by registering another victory over the Red Devils in the second leg.
