Guardians of the Galaxy
Rocket Raccoon, voiced by Bradley Cooper Marvel Studios

Marvel have released a final full trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy ahead of its worldwide release at the end of the month.

Delving a little further into the titular group of renegade heroes (cliffnote version: they're lunatics with hearts of gold) we see a little more to set up the film's tone, a little more Lee Pace as villain Ronan The Accuser and our first look at Michael Rooker as Yondu.

You can watch the trailer below...

Set to the tune of Cherry Bomb by The Runaways, the latest trailer continues the film's love of the 80s indicated by the use of Blue Swede's Hooked on a Feeling and Norman Greenbaum's Spirit in the Sky in previous trailers.

Guardians stars Chris Pratt as Peter 'Star Lord' Quill, a human abudcted from Earth in the 80s who has grown up in the depths of the galaxy. Becoming something of an Indiana Jones type with a high opinion of himself, he soon ends up in prison, where he meets Gamora (Zoe Saldana) Drax The Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel) and Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper).

Together they aim to defeat the threat posed by Ronan The Accuser and his aides Nebula (Karen Gillan) and Korath the Pursuer (Djimon Hounsou).

The film also stars John C Reilly, Glenn Close, Benecio Del Toro and Josh Brolin.

Guardians of the Galaxy is set for release on 31 July.
