She is one of the most explicit and uncensored pop stars around so it was only a matter of time before Miley Cyrus covered hip hop's famous x-rated song, My Neck, My Back.

During her performance at Adult Swim's Upfront party in New York, the Wrecking Ball star broke away from her setlist to sing an impromptu remix of Khia's classic NSFW song [explicit lyrics].

The 22-year-old's stage outfit was just as raunchy as the song's lyrics, with the former Hannah Montana actress prancing around the stage topless with only a pair of butterfly pasties covering her nipples and barely-there suspenders, teamed with white leggings.

Twitter has erupted with reactions to Cyrus' remix, with tweets including:

At the same performance, which took place at club Terminal 5, Cyrus is alleged to have smoked a suspicious-looking cigarette. According to Variety, the We Can't Stop singer asked: "Where's my joint? I'll grab a lighter."

The former Disney star is reported to have later asked the audience: "Are you guys drunk yet? Are you guys high yet?

"No?! You're gonna be at a show where I'm dressed as a f*****g butterfly and not be high? I'm down to share."

After performing a medley of her hits including covers of songs by Led Zeppelin and Johnny Cash, Cyrus reportedly said: "When I think of Adult Swim, I think of country music and drugs."

Rapper Khia is yet to respond to the cover of her iconic track but the hip hop star will most likely appreciate it as she has also remixed a Cyrus song in the past. In 2013, she added her own verses to an instrumental of the youngster's number one hit We Can't Stop.
